Cooper, lead
consultant of Cross-Culture Communications, is a consultant and
trainer, a writer and editor with extensive marketing and public relations
experience, the author of three books on personal and spiritual development,
highly regarded as an expert in language and communications in the U.S.
and Asia.
In her native city of New York, as a recognized leader of the cultural
community, she co-founded the publishing company Times Change Press and
was host of the popular weekly interview-radio program, Here Comes
the Sun. At that time, she undertook speech training in broadcast
media English and subsequently has used this ability to develop uniquely
effective techniques for assisting international speakers of English in
correcting their accents.
She has done wide-ranging work as an English language consultant in the People’s Republic of China, where she resided for three years (having studied Mandarin for three years prior). Clients for whom she has provided communications and marketing assistance include the Ford Foundation, Yunnan Airlines, and Suzhou Industrial Park. She has studied the culture, history and languages of the Far East for over 30 years, particularly respecting the Asian social code and way of doing things.
Susan currently works with companies, organizations and individuals in
the San Francisco Bay Area. She also offers public workshops
and
seminars that are entertaining,
productive and well-received.
